Final Four!

I unsuccessfully tried to find a picture of Stephen Curry weeping inconsolably, but this gets the same point across.

I'm not one to complain about poor officiating, but the calls this game were worse than I've ever seen. Numerous flat out disasters. Jackson being whistled for a shooting foul, without any contact at all. Chalmers being shoved to the ground by a running Davidson player. Chalmers being held (literally) by the arm to prevent him from picking up a loose-ball. My DVR doesn't lie. We got ripped.

That being said, I think the play of the game was Collins coming over to defend Curry at the end of the game. He was supposed to take the shot, and got Rush to leave his feet. He just had to wait a second for him to fly by. Fortunately, Collins figured it out, and was on top of him before he had a chance to shoot.

A little close for my comfort. I'm excited about playing North Carolina on Saturday. It should be a good one. I think if anyone can run with the Tarheels, it'll be us. But we'll need to play much better than we did today.

New Experience Tonight

Hillary and I went to a KC Brigade game at the Sprint Center*. They lost, but it was a cool experience. I knew nothing about arena football prior to going, but it looked like fun. We weren't disappointed. I really like the arena.

The Power and Light District** will be awesome once a permanent tenant moves into the Sprint Center. I really think it's going to be a good thing for Kansas City.

Happy Easter Everyone

It's a good weekend for me. Duke lost. Georgetown lost. KU won. I hope next weekend goes as well.

I risked it

This is classic

A guy is furious that his bass fiddle won't fit on our tiny prop
plane. You should see it. It's at least 7 feet tall with the case.

I really want to take a picture, but the guy would probably punch me.

Back in Twin Falls

I'm having a ton of fun. I managed to empty my Outlook inbox. It had just under 20,000 messages.

By now I should have stumbled into a good restaurant simply by chance. Unfortunately, the best meal I've eaten in Idaho so far was a polish sausage from Costco. To be fair, I really like Costco's polish sausages, but the fact that I chose to eat a $1.50 Sausage AND drink instead of using my $50 in free coupons to the hotel restaurant says something.

I'm really not picky, but the Mexican restaurant where I ate tonight forgot to put ice in my tea. Iced tea only has two ingredients, and they forgot one of them. I hope they pay more attention to sanitation.

The picture above was supposedly taken near here. If the deposition finishes quickly tomorrow, I might try to sneak out there. But I probably won't get the chance.

Great game, great teams, great result.

If we play like that throughout the tournament, we should win. It was a good time to have the best game of the season.

Facebook does have a great iPhone interface though

Urge to kill...rising...

A while back I explained why I liked Facebook better than MySpace. I noted that I didn't like the nearly universally bad "applications" that Facebook shoves down my throat. Since then, things have gotten worse.

Check out the list of things people have invited me to do:

-Determine which 1950's pin-up girl I am.
-Same thing, but with serial killers.
-Create a professional wrestler persona to "wrestle" other people. Thanks, Matt. (Or should I call you "Bishop Augustus Beatdown")
-Debate the existence of a higher being
-Test my grammar skills (That's a fun one)
-And the incomparable movie trivia challenges.
-Dozens of other inane "activities"

I really liked Facebook because it's layout was so much cleaner than MySpace. Well, they've narrowed the gap, considerably.

That's more like it

Hillary and I had some friends over last night to watch the KU/K-State game. Fortunately, it went better than last time. I hope KU can keep up the intensity for the remainder of the season. Pretty soon, one off night will end these players' season, and some of their careers.
